2023 Winner: David Unlayao's "Summer Time"
David Unlayao's known for his smooth vocal runs and enormous range as well as his original songwriting style. He has genre-blended country, rock, and pop into something he calls, “Soft Country”. After going viral on TikTok, Spotify made him the cover of their top independent playlist, "Fresh Finds" which has over 1 million followers. His raw lyrics and soulful voice set Filipino-American David Unlayao apart from the rest of the crowd; and he’s always aiming to push the boundaries of country music.
