FRANKLIN, Tenn. (July 27, 2020) –
MAPCO, the convenience store chain with more than 340 stores throughout the Southeastern region of the United States, has reopened its store at 604 North Main St. Franklin, Ky. following a full rebuild.
Frederic Chaveyriat, CEO of MAPCO, and fellow company executives were joined by the Mayor of Franklin, Larry Dixon, for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the location’s grand re-opening.
“MAPCO has been a fixture on this corner of North Main Street for more than 30 years and because they chose this location to re-build a completely new store, it shows their commitment to Franklin and our community.” said Mayor of Franklin, Larry Dixon.
This completely new store now boasts a streamlined fuel canopy, bright, modernized design with natural light throughout the store, indoor restrooms, a new bean-to-cup coffee machine, cappuccino machine, roller grill serving a selection of hot food, craft and import beer, healthy options, and a host of merchandise for guests to stock up while they refuel. Guests will also notice a new ATM machine and free Wi-Fi available. The rebuild is part of MAPCO’s mission to create a Better Break®, where guests can refresh and recharge at their pace with quality products and services at a value that is relevant to them.
“We are proud to be able to rebuild this store to offer the community an enhanced and modern guest experience, including making it the first location to feature MAPCO’s new, sleek ‘streamlined’ fuel canopy and a unique fuel island shape, creating a more comfortable environment for guests. We have also upgraded our in-store offerings, expanding the range of food, beverage, health, beauty and automotive products we offer,” said Frederic Chaveyriat, CEO of MAPCO. “It was our priority to re-open this store so that we could continue to serve the local community through the COVID-19 pandemic, and this location joins all of our stores in following MAPCO’s health and safety procedures put in place to protect our guests and team members.”
While the seating areas are temporarily closed to comply with social distancing guidelines, guests are welcome to visit the refreshed store for their fueling and grab-and-go needs. As MAPCO locations continue to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, all stores employ rigorous and frequent disinfecting processes while closely following the latest information and guidelines from local, state and federal government agencies and health organizations. Plexiglass shields have been installed in every store and masks, gloves and hand sanitizer have been provided to all team members. Additionally, MAPCO has placed free gloves at the fuel pumps for guests as another step to help to stop the spread. Store occupancy has been limited and physical in-store indicators have been placed on floors to support appropriate social distancing.
