PLEASANT VIEW, Tenn. (Sept. 29, 2021) – MAPCO , the convenience store chain with nearly 340 stores throughout the Southeastern region of the United States, has redesigned and expanded its location at 2732 York Road serving the Pleasant View and Coopertown, Tennessee communities.
MAPCO company executives were joined by Pleasant View Mayor Bill Anderson, Coopertown Mayor Becca Werner and Vice Mayor Robert Dale Anderson and leadership from Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee (BGMCT) for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the community’s refreshed location.
The rebuild is part of MAPCO’s continual work to deliver Convenience You Can TRUST® and create a place where guests will enjoy a Better Break as they refresh and recharge at their pace with quality products and services at a value relevant to them. The 3,975 sq. ft. store, on 9.32 total acres, now boasts new programs including a refreshed Krispy Krunchy Chicken offer, cold grab-n-go options, a roller grill serving a selection of hot food, “better for you” products, ICEE & fountain drinks, additional coffee offerings, and new in-store merchandise for guests to stock up on. The store has expanded its free parking capabilities, 58 parking spaces for trucks and 24 for auto. Guests will also find two new showers, renovated restrooms, and a newly replaced fuel system for the fastest fueling experience, with eight tractor trailer diesel fueling bays with DEF.

As part of the company’s commitment to the community and improving educational opportunities for children, MAPCO executives marked the grand opening by presenting Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee with a $3,000 check for renovation of the nearby Andrew Jackson teen club that provides tutoring, career development services, STEM activities, and more to local youth. The donation is made possible through MAPCO’s Giveback program, which supports nonprofits and community organizations in the areas MAPCO serves. In line with this program, the company recently finalized a 2021 philanthropic partnership with several Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the Southeast — where MAPCO’s donations will help support the education and wellbeing of local children as Boys & Girls Club help them to reach their full potential.
“Doing good in the communities we serve and live in has always been a top priority for MAPCO,” said Frederic Chaveyriat, chief executive officer at MAPCO. “As we welcome local guests back to our expanded and refreshed Pleasant View location, we are honored to be able to commemorate such a special occasion by partnering with the Boys & Girls Club to help them better serve youth throughout the region.”
The convenience store chain will continue growth in stores across the state of Tennessee to provide high quality fuel, essential products and services to more communities. MAPCO remains committed to serving customers with best-in-class technology through added convenient offerings such as its MAPCO app, which guests can download from the App Store and Google Play Store for the ability to pay at the pump and inside the store, find their closest MAPCO, get fuel prices for each store, save with the latest MY Reward$ promotion and easily redeem points. Additionally, new Amazon Lockers are now available at 27 MAPCO stores and recent company-wide ATM upgrades have equipped each store with a standardized AllPoint system that offers surcharge-free transactions for guests within network.
At all MAPCO stores, guests can take advantage of MAPCO’s value-driven MY Reward$ loyalty program. New members enjoy 20¢ off per gallon on their first fill up of gas, and in September and October, customers paying with a MAPCO Better Debit, through MAPCO’s app, will get 10¢ off per gallon. As an added benefit this fall, MY Reward$ members are invited to start their weekday mornings with one free any size coffee from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., available now through November 8, 2021.
As MAPCO locations continue to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, all stores employ frequent disinfecting processes, reinforce the use of MAPCO’s touchless payment and self-checkout offerings, encourage social distancing and offer free gloves at the fuel pumps. Additionally, MAPCO is closely following recommendations from the CDC and incentivizing both hourly and full-time team members with paid time-off to get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to them.
