FRANKLIN, Tenn. (June 26, 2020) –
MAPCO, the convenience store chain with 343 stores throughout the Southeastern region of the United States, has re-opened a store following a full rebuild at 2218 Highway 72 East in Corinth, Mississippi.
The complete rebuild is part of MAPCO’s continual work to create a place where guests can refresh and recharge at their pace with quality products and services at a value that is relevant to them. The 1,724 sq. ft. store now boasts a bright, modernized design with cold grab-n-go food options, a roller grill serving a selection of hot food, “better for you” snacks and a new bean to cup coffee machine, along with a host of merchandise for guests to stock up while they refuel. Guests will also notice expanded flavor selections on the new soft drink fountain, a new ICEE machine and free in-store Wi-Fi.
The store replaced its entire fuel system to provide the fastest fueling experience available for its four standard gas pumps and three fast flow diesel lanes with DEF available for trucks. The canopies have been also updated to meet MAPCO’s current brand standards. While the roller grills and seating areas are temporarily closed to comply with social distancing guidelines, guests are welcome to visit the store for their fueling and grab-and-go needs.
“Our Corinth guests can shop with confidence, knowing they’ll find good assortment of high quality food, merchandise, fuel and value they know and love from our other locations,” says Claudio Daguerressar, VP of Marketing, MAPCO Express. “MAPCO continues to serve the Corinth community, and our stores are following the health and safety procedures we put in place to protect our guests and team members in response to COVID-19.”
As MAPCO stores continue to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, all stores employ rigorous and frequent disinfecting processes while closely following the latest information and guidelines from local, state and federal government agencies and health organizations. Plexiglass shields have been installed in every store and masks, gloves and hand sanitizer have been provided to all team members. Additionally, MAPCO has installed gloves at the fuel pumps as another step to help to stop the spread. To support social distancing efforts, store occupancy has been limited and MAPCO has placed physical in-store indicators on floors to support appropriate distancing. All seating areas are closed, and food orders are to-go only for the time being.
